Karma!!

we are all mad about karma at school at the moment!! it rocks!!

karma is the theorie that what goes around comes aroud, so if you are mean to someone you will have really bad luck and be cursed and stuff, wheras if you do good stuff you will have good luck and be happy and stuff. (yes we got the idea of 'my name is earl'!!)

we do all sorts of stuff for karma, like hugs for karma (which is if you hug people you get good karma,) and are just genraly nice to people!!

Black eye - great

i gave myself a black eye. i was bouldering, and i was doing this overhang but i slipped and as i fell kneed myself in the eye ~ i know, im a genious.

Stars in your eyes!!

every year my school holds this singing competition called stars in your eyes (original huh?) but this year me and one of the guys from school entered, and we got through!!!

we are doing that song by peter bjorn and john (a random swedish band) called young folks with the wisteling at the begining!!

the guy im doing it with though is really annoying, he dosnt co-operate, but i think we are going to be ok (at least i hope so!!)

What's wrong with dancing to joy division??

Have you heard anything by this band called the wombats??

they are really good, not very well known but they do a couple good songs like moving t onew york and lets dance to joy division.

I really like lets dance to joy division, the chorous goes,

Lets dance to joy division

and celebrate the irony

becouse evrything is going wrong

but we're so happy

i dont think that very fair about the irony though, ok, ok i know joy division wernt the cheeriest band, and i think the lead singer commited suicide. but i dance to joy division, eek!!

three gorges dam

have you heard of this project in china called the three gorges dam, because of the floods last year they have decided to build this massive dam that is going to be so big it can be seen from space (very chinese).

what they are going to do is flood all the gorges and stuff behind the dam, which may wipe out loas of rare animals, are will totaly destroy loads of amasing historical sites including the hanging coffins which are totally amazing. (i want to be an archaeologist) and the area that will be flooded is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Also if this dam breakes more lives will be lost than will ever been saved.

it would be much safer and have less of an environmental impact if they just built a series of smaller dams allong the course of the river. and the floods have only occured in recent times so why dont they put the money towards stopping global warming or something!

i know i just ranted for ages but this kind of thing buggs me alot!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Twilight is such a awesome book, i read it in a day because i couldn't put it down!! thankyou soooooo much for recomending it to me. i thought it was really well written, and i could visualise all the characters perfectly in my mind.

theres one thing i dont get though because at the end of the 1st book it seems like edward was going to bite her neck, but in the book i had it had the opening chapter of the second book and that talks about her birthday and she is human, did i just read it wrong?

i cant wait to read the second one and i am going to see if i can get it from the school libary tomorrow!!

Fall out boy!!

I bought a fall out boy cd today (infinty on high) it is really good when i first heard thier stuff i didnt think i liked it very much but i really like their songs and they are really good at their instruments. i really like their song Hum Hallelujah at this one bit it does the tune for jeff bukleys song hallelujah (i dont know if he did the original but his version is best) but they do it in their own style ~ its hard to explain but good!!

I also bought twilight that you guys keep recomending to me, i havnt started it yet but i will soon! =)

Feelin French

I met my great uncle in law the other day. i dont like him that much as he is a snob and looks down on children. he is caled bill but evryone calles him 'wiggy' due to the fact he is about seventy sweres on his life he sdosnt die his hair and yet still has a head so covered in hair i think i saw a hedgehog living in it.

Anyhoo, (i love saying that) he lives in france so before i asw him i brushed up on some of my french, here are the top 5 things to say . . . .

mon petit soeur est un grande escargo - my little sister is a big snail

vous est un merde - you are a s*** (my grandad taught me that)

je mappel singe et don labre - i am a monkey in a tree (roughly)

jai adore banane - i love bananas (see above)

mon unkle est un grunwie - my uncle is a frog

some of the spelling is a bit ifffy and the grammar is terrible but hey!
